Zanotto's has been a staple for huge, high quality sandwiches for me for many, many years. This is actually a supermarket, and their products are generally high quality but expensive, so I really only come for the sandwiches from the deli in the back and the occasional specialty pint of ice cream. The sandwiches are the highlight however. They are made to order, from the exact same meats and cheeses you would get from the deli counter, and Zanotto's has always been extremely generous with both their fillings and the size of their sandwiches. They offer pretty much everything from their deli, so customize to your hearts delight! You can get two meats - I generally get salami and pay a little extra for prosciutto, and then just load it up with pretty much every veggie and your typical condiments. I would highly recommend their dutch crunch, though come early if you can as they do tend to run out towards the evening. Do note, this deli and sandwich form is in the back. There is another brick cafe styled area that also has premade sandwiches, salads, and soups, which are still good but not what this review is about

Zanotto's deli has delicious customizable sandwiches! Visited on a Saturday around 7pm. I've been to the Zanotto's in Sunnyvale before and I enjoyed my sandwich from there. This time, I got a veggie sandwich (which includes avocado) with essentially all the toppings, few different cheeses, and some condiments. Since we came a bit late, the wheat sliced and Dutch crunch roll were out so I got my sandwich on a croissant. I loved my sandwich! Great flavors and great value as well. Unlimited toppings, sauces, and cheeses - how can the sandwich not be good. Would definitely return!

Sandwich review only. Deli counter was pretty busy on a Wednesday lunch. My sandwich was ready ~15 min after I filled out the form. I got my sandwich on Dutch crunch bread with pastrami, Italian dry salami, provolone, veggies, etc. Definitely super good value for a hefty sandwich. Sandwich was $10.99 excluding tax which was a steal! One thing to note was that I requested the bread to be toasted but I couldn't tell if it was, as the Dutch crunch bread was on the soft/soggy side.

Excellent neighborhood grocery store. This is exactly what grocery stores should be... high quality products from around the world with a logical layout in a small footprint. Beautiful meat & sandwich counter with a line of people at Sunday lunchtime. A room dedicated to pasta & tomato sauce. Craft beers, keifer, many European butters... too much to show. Just go.

Great spot to get your sandwich fix at the deli counter inside the market! Grab a form slip to fill out with the bread, protein, cheese, and all the fixings of your choice. Came during lunch time on a weekday. There was a crowd but didn't feel like the wait was that long. They had a good amount of workers and they're efficient. Gives you some time to browse around to grab any drinks or chips. Look how big and stuffed the sandwich is -- only $10.99?! Can't top it. Everything tasted fresh. Gotta love the dutch crunch. You can even ask them to cut your sandwich in quarters. Market was clean. There's plenty of outdoor seating. Parking's convenient.

Stopped by Zanotto's tonight on the way home from work to pick up something easy for dinner. I hadn't been there in several years. Got Chinese chicken salad from the deli (the big one on the side of the store-- there's another smaller one in the back by the meat department). I used to get it frequently years ago but stopped because they put red pepper flakes in it. No pepper this time, thank goodness. It was delicious. Also got a container of pre-made pasta in meat sauce from the refrigerator section in the front of the store by the door. I heated it in the microwave when I got home and it was so good! I love the cheese they sprinkle on top. I will definitely be back for more. It was fairly crowded at 5pm on a Friday but there wasn't much of a line to check out. The customer service wasn't remarkable but that's okay. I'm happy with my dinner.

BEST SANDWICH/DELI IN THE SOUTH BAY! Always great and quick service, SO MANY options, reasonably priced for a brown bag lunch, portion sizes are unmatched for the price!!! MUST TRY!

I wish I lived closer otherwise I'd be coming here all the time!! This is the cutest market ever with so many unique items. The sandwiches are delicious!!! I chose to customize my own and it was perfect. My bf got the Italian (pre-fixed) and he liked it. You go to the back of the market, fill out a paper then hand it to the folks to make your sandwich. The workers were also sooooo nice explaining how ordering worked!

At Zanotto's the deli counter gets all the hype with its long lines, workers yelling out numbers, and massive cold cut sandwiches. It certainly has its place, don't get me wrong, but for me the star of the show is the Panini Counter. Tucked away in a side wing of the store that is easy to miss next to quite an impressive salad bar, Zanotto's has an absolutely awesome hot sandwich bar where they serve up a wide selection of delectable panini. They all look great but I'm such a big fan of the Prosciutto & Mozzarella that I've never branched out to try anything else. It's packed with prosciutto and includes basil and tangy peppers in just the right ratios to deliver an awesome eating experience. A word of advice - after being pressed in the panini machine, the ciabatta can get a little crunchy and it has cut my mouth a time or two if I'm too quick to chow down. Take it slow and you will be well-rewarded with a new favorite sandwich. P.S. - Zanotto's has an absolutely crazy selection of bottle sodas and drinks, basically every brand and variety you could ever imagine so do yourself a favor and try out something you've never seen before. I pick up something new every time I eat here and it adds a burst of novelty to something that has become a go-to lunch for me.
